We are planning on giving our class presentations next Tuesday 1/14/2014
Presentations will begin on Tuesday 1/14/2014 (if all goes well :-).
Due 12/19/2013 Research: Facts about your issue.
List Stakeholder questions.
Stakeholders are individuals or groups who have an interest in the issue, either positive or negative. If a family is thinking about getting a new pet, the stakeholders might include mom and dad, siblings, pet rescue organizations, relatives who visit often or that have allergies to certain animals. Tanner (we have talked about this :-) needs to think about who the Stakeholders are for his issue and then develop questions they might want to have answered about the issue. For example in the pet issue mom and dad might want to know about initial cost and long term cost or the amount and type of care the pet might require.
Due 12/18/2013 - Finish The Thief Lord
12/5/2013 - Complete the "State the Issue" box on page 94 of your Patterns of Change book. Remember you are not taking a side. You are just explaining why your question is an issue. For example The question is "Should students be able to use electronic tablets in school?", the issue that caused this question might be that more and more students have tablets they use at home or in public to communicate or answer questions that arise during conversations. Tablets seem to be everywhere but in the classroom.
